Saturday April 3 and Sunday April 4 was General Conference. This was a GREAT conference. As always! But this one was a little different for me. The kids couldn’t wait for it to start and actually listened and seemed to understand. Even Scott and I could listen in between helping Keri and Afton. I am grateful for the tradition that we have made of watching conference and that our children look forward to it. I especially enjoyed Jaime asking questions about some of the talks she listened to. Such as ‘Why don’t you think you’ll ever get a face book page?’ and ‘Mom, what’s lust?’ I sure am glad that we are given these opportunities to teach our children these principles in the home…..<\/p>\n

Seriously though the conference was VERY uplifting and helped me so much. I especially loved the talk about rooting children in the gospel when they are young. If we wait until they are in mutual it might be too late. I also appreciated the talk about mothers and daughters and our important role in our daughters lives even if it feels as though we aren’t that important to them. I love my daughters so much and I want that good mother\/daughter relationship with them. I had it with my mom and it was awesome!
