I’m hopeful that Scott and I aren’t the only ones….but after 12 years of marriage we had a night alone in a hotel room. I have lots of friends who do this yearly. But Scott and I haven’t had this opportunity since our wedding night. So when he had a fancy hotel room in S.F. (for work) in early September and my sister was in town, we took advantage of the opportunity. <\/p>\n

I left after putting all the kids to bed except Jaime and Alix. They had a fun slumber party with Auntie Sara till the wee hours of the night. I got to S.F. about 9pm, that was ok though, Scott was still working. I snuggled down into that SUPER soft bed and flipped on the T.V. (another thing I don’t think I’ve done in about 12 years). Since it was getting pretty warm under those covers, I also set the air conditioner to VERY cold. It was a fun 30 minutes and yet totally boring at the same time…..<\/p>\n

Scott and I enjoyed some dinner on the town before retiring to bed that night. Since Scott had to get up super early, I did too and went to the gym. It was a nice gym, but wholly molly I can’t believe the number of people who work out at 5am. After my exercise and a quick shower we were gone by 6:15am. <\/p>\n

It was a fun few hours and something I would LOVE to repeat. I wonder which friend I can con into taking my kids for a couple of nights…… :o)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
