We took our annual free homeschool day field trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium on November 7. I believe this is the 5th year we have gone. My friend Laura and I have this tradition that we carpool up there, hang out all day and then go to the Denis the Menace park till it’s too dark to see. Then we head home. The tradition has become so much a part of our friendship that we were so glad we could still fit in my van this year. As cool as the aquarium is, the whole time we were there the kids couldn’t stop asking about when we’d leave to go to the park. It is seriously the coolest park I’ve ever been to and all the kids think so too. <\/p>\n

\nOur annual ‘in the shell’ photo. I think we have one every single year. I should get all those together sometime. That would look cool!<\/em><\/p>\n

\nTwo of Laura’s boys decided to join us too. I think we have quite a few of these pictures too over the years. <\/em><\/p>\n

\nOn our way to the car Niah snuck out on the beach. I wouldn’t have minded too much but they were already wet from the aquarium and it wasn’t getting any warmer outside! I was concerned they’d get too cold at the park.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nNot sure what gets into boys sometimes. But I guess this is what makes them tick!<\/em><\/p>\n
