Sunday October 26 was our primary program. I took great interest in this event since I am in the primary presidency and I wrote the program. Each of our children invited one of their friends’ family to come and watch them. We had two families come; Roberta (our neighbor) and Taylor (an old neighbor). Jaime was assigned a solo. She was the only one who knew the second verse to When Jesus Christ was Baptized and so it was decided that she would sing it while the rest of the primary hummed it. But, during the program the chorister got confused and cued the primary to hum the second verse of I Love to See the Temple. Jaime, the champion, went right on singing and did a fabulous solo. She also did the intended one later in the program, so she did two solo’s. The program went very well! We only had one child that would not get up, he fell asleep! All of the Thompson’s had their parts memorized and went up with confidence that made my heart leap for joy. What great kids we have. After the program I helped the kids get to their classes. Jaime’s friend Taylor stayed but Roberta and family went home. After saying goodbye I went into the kitchen to finish the preparations for the party. We had singing time, food, announcements, closing prayer and then home. It was a successful primary party and the kids felt great! After church I had a primary meeting. We then tried to go on a walk but enjoyed playing and talking with the neighbors on the street instead. We really do live in a great neighborhood with great people. We then came in and did dinner and bed. <\/p>\n
Monday we did cleaning in the morning. Alix and Milo were invited to Laura’s house for a Halloween party. While they enjoyed themselves for a couple of hours the rest of us played at a park close to Laura’s house. We got home by 3 and we did some school. After Scott got home we had dinner and did FHE and then off to bed. <\/p>\n
Tuesday was an at home easy day. I love those days!!<\/p>\n
Wednesday we did our usual piano, p.e. and school. We got all the chores done too. Scott got home early so we could carve pumpkins. Right after dinner we cleared the table. We got three pumpkins and paired up to carve them. They came out awesome!! We then did the craft that Grandma Thompson sent us (Thanks Grandma!!).
