She invited all her friends and they had a bbq, games by a fire pit and some laser tag.  Funny side note: Before the party Jaime asked &#8220;Where are you guys going to be during the party?&#8221;  &#8220;Right here,&#8221; I said! We had tomatoes and pumpkins.  If it hadn&#8217;t been for the squash plants we planted in the front yard, I might have called this year a total loss!  However, speaking optimistically, we didn&#8217;t have to buy any pumpkins for Halloween carving or Thanksgiving pies. Here she had made a blueberry ice cream pie. It was super hot here in Fremont, hotter than usual, plus we had all come down with something.  So after the ward 4th of July breakfast, we went to the church with games, pillows, blankets and food and just hung out in the cultural hall (it was a good 20 degrees cooler than our house!).  We were there for 9 straight hours watching movies, taking naps, playing games and recovering from the heat and our miserable colds.
