-We bought a truck!<\/p>\n
<\/a>Kiss that money good bye!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Since we didn’t buy brand new, Scott gutted and cleaned the truck so it felt new.<\/p><\/div>\n
-Alix had her 14th birthday!<\/p>\n A rainbow cake. It looks less than appetizing here, but…<\/p><\/div>\n This looks pretty awesome!<\/p><\/div>\n For more than a year, Alix wanted to go to S.F. on August 13.<\/p><\/div>\n Why August 13??<\/p><\/div>\n To get a sour dough bread bowl from Boudins with clam chowder in it of course!<\/p><\/div>\n AND get some AWESOME ice cream…..<\/p><\/div>\n AND play with puzzles on the pier…..<\/p><\/div>\n AND do the super fun, super cheap mirror maze….<\/p><\/div>\n But actually I think it was because it was National Left Handers Day.<\/p><\/div>\n Yep, I think that was the reason. She participated in a contest to win a $100 gift card to the Lefty Store. She lost by one! :o(<\/p><\/div>\n I love seeing these cool signs that seem to be all over S.F.<\/p><\/div>\n Poor Alix was so exhausted by the end of the day, she slept on BART all the way home. But I think her day was a success!<\/p><\/div>\n -We went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom<\/p>\n We took pictures with lots of Loony Toons Characters<\/p><\/div>\n We watched a Loony Toons Band….<\/p><\/div>\n We watched an AMAZING diving show….<\/p><\/div>\n A tiger show….<\/p><\/div>\n and a Dolphin show.<\/p><\/div>\n The kids road lots of rides.<\/p><\/div>\n Side note…. before we left I had this fab idea to wear super bright shirts so we could easily identify each other… Apparently Six Flags thought the same thing because our shirts were the same color as the employee’s shirts (look above Keri’s head…). O’well!<\/p><\/div>\n The ride lines were surprisingly short and we got on all the rides with less than a 5 minute wait.<\/p><\/div>\n Afton and Niah road this water ride 7 times during our last 15 minutes at the park. They had so much fun!<\/p><\/div>\n We all got wet early in the day which helped keep us cool.<\/p><\/div>\n The butterfly garden was amazing! Super hot and humid, but amazing.<\/p><\/div>\n Super fun, almost whole family trip!<\/p><\/div>\n -Jaime and Milo went to St. George and Blanding<\/p>\n Jaime had her first date in Utah. So fun!<\/p><\/div>\n Jaime stayed most of the time with her cousin Megan. They lived it up from what I hear!<\/p><\/div>\n Milo worked for a week with Scott’s uncle. Milo had a BLAST. He had a lot of firsts that week. It’s good for a boy to work hard. Teaches them character and discipline. Thanks Joe!<\/p><\/div>\n Jaime and Milo did see each other sometimes.<\/p><\/div>\n Their siblings were so happy to have them home. As fun as it was, I think they were happy to be home too.<\/p><\/div>\n Small things we did this month:<\/p>\n -Alix had her first dance! Beach dance in Santa Cruz baby. <\/p>\n -The kids put on a puppet show<\/p>\n Here was the invite to the show. They made one for everyone!<\/p><\/div>\n -We burned last school year’s school work<\/p>\n Alix’s idea but we all joined in.<\/p><\/div>\n -Milo had a friend over<\/p>\n It’s good for boys to be boys sometimes. These two seem to be forming a good friendship.<\/p><\/div>\n -We did a BIG front yard clean up so that all vehicles can fit on the driveway (well almost all….)<\/p>\n The bushes on the side of the driveway had grown to the point that we could not get a car all the way over. So we “trimmed” them….<\/p><\/div>\n Big pile of branches.
