My kids like to run. Some of them LOVE to run. So we tried cross country this year. LOVED.IT.<\/p>\n

Milo, Niah and Afton were on the team. Keri really wanted to but I wasn’t sure she could hack it. She totally could have. O’well, next year.<\/p>\n

Not only did my kids get lots of exercise, but they met new friends and had tons of fun. I met some new friends too!<\/p>\n

The kids all did well. Afton placed 8th once. Not too bad since she was in a race with 140 other runners (40 of which were her age group).<\/p>\n

Niah and Milo kept improving their time so they were happy about that. Niah started the season not even able to make the whole mile without stopping to walk. By the end she could run the whole race without stopping.<\/p>\n

The coolest thing about it. One meet we were running in the forest and the very next week along the ocean. How cool is that?? <\/p>\n

I love that my kids love running. It’s something I actually know about and can get really excited about.<\/p>\n

We will definitely do it next year!<\/p>\n

\nThis meet was a relay. The kids were put into
\nteams of 5. Each person ran a half mile. Milo
\nwas seeded to run last. But their first guy
\ndidn’t show up. So Milo ran first and last!

\nScott was able to attend this meet.
\nAfter the meet we walked to the top
\nof the hill (which was a pretty good
\nhike) and took some amazing pictures.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nDead stopped traffic at 8:30pm.<\/em><\/p>\n

The kids participated in a total of 4 meets. They were suppose to run in 5 but we didn’t make it to the last meet. Two of the meets were at the same location. The beach. Yes, it was awesome both times! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
