\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcTwas the month before Christmas
\nWhen all through our land,
\nNot a Christian was praying
\nNor taking a stand.
\nWhy the Politically Correct Police had taken away,
\nThe reason for Christmas – no one could say.
\nThe children were told by their schools not to sing,
\nabout Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things. <\/p>\n
It might hurt people’s feelings, the teachers would say
\nDecember 25th is just a ‘ Holiday ‘.
\nYet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
\npushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
\nCDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
\nSomething was changing, something quite odd!
\nRetailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
\nIn hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
\nAs Targets were hanging their trees upside down
\nAt Lowe’s the word Christmas – was no where to be found. <\/p>\n
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny’s and Sears
\nYou won’t hear the word Christmas; it won’t touch your ears.
\nInclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
\nAre words that were used to intimidate me.
\nNow Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen,
\non Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
\nAt the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
\nto eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.<\/p>\n
And we spoke not a word, as they took \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcway our faith,
\nforbidden to speak of salvation and grace.
\nThe true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
\nthe reason for the season, stopped before it started.
\nSo as you celebrate ‘Winter Break’ under your ‘Dream Tree’
\nsipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
\nChoose your words carefully, choose what you say
