At the 4th of July parade, they handed out some kid newspapers. Along with some very nice coupons for Cold Stone and the local miniature golf place, they had a calendar of things to do everyday of July. I think we did 21 of the 31 ideas. Here they are in no particular order: Read the rest of this entry »
Materialism
I saw this link on a friends blog. It’s a great read. Helps to put life into perspective. I like what they had to say about making more than $50,000 doesn’t bring greater happiness. I tend to agree with that!!

PB & J? Rootbeer Float? Candied Apple?
On July 15 we finally made it to the Jelly Belly factory. I’ve heard about it, dreamed about it, but never actually made it there. With Milo being on a 6 week hiatus from water or anything else that would require getting wet, I’ve been desperate for things to do. This seemed like the perfect thing. He said all he does is throw all the stuff in a pile in the side yard, water every once in a while and boom, great soil for a great garden. Read the rest of this entry »
Summer or Winter?
Have you seen anything so cute as Niah and her BFF Emilie? So they were out riding bikes today and Niah comes running in and says:
‘Mom, we felt a raindrop so we are going to put on our bathing suits so we can get wet, but put on our rain boots so we can splash in the puddles ok?’
And before I could say anything Emilie comes tromping in with her get up on. How could I say no at that point? They spent the next hour outside waiting for the rain to come (which it did……all 12 drops of it). How fun to be 4!!
