Our garden is doing quite well. Way better than the last two years. We are grateful for our bountiful harvest and feel very blessed by our Heavenly Father. Our efforts have really paid off this year and that has been awesome. Read the rest of this entry »

Ever rented a truck from Uhaul? We have, MANY times. Mostly to move other people but we’ve gotten one for ourselves too. Is it just me, or do only the truly lucky get a “good” Uhaul? We somehow get “lucky” and get the sleaziest one on the lot. I had determined that this time we wouldn’t. I was done renting Uhauls that had the potential of catching on fire or breaking down. So our couch has a bottom to it that does not allow things to fall all the way to the floor. I didn’t really realize this till we did all the moving that we did during our rearranging. As we picked up the couch we could hear things moving around. So Scott decided to take out a few of the staples and remove all of the “treasures”. Here is what we found:

What’s Memorial Weekend without a home improvement project?

So, we had already spent the first part of the week cleaning out the new playroom completely. Then we tore out the carpet, painted the walls and Scott was going to lay new flooring. We originally thought this would be the perfect room for my mom since it was close to the bathroom. Well, we got all the way to laying the flooring when we were suppose to go camping, so it was a blessing in disguise that it snowed 8 inches (sorry to all the folks that live in the area!!).
