At 4 months and 5 days, Keri is growing too big too fast!! She officially found her feet October 10, 2008. It’s so cute to watch her play with her built in “toys”. She is doing so many other things too. She is getting better at grabbing toys, she just has a hard time keeping a hold on them! She watches every move her siblings make. She is learning fast and will be hard to stop once she can move, I’m sure of it!! She is sleeping a good 8 hours at night, too bad it’s not the same 8 hours I want to sleep! She is a good eater. She takes 2-3 naps a day each one about 2-3 hours long. Perfect for teaching school and doing chores. She “chews” all during dinner and will be ready for solids all too soon. She is a very smiley baby and LOVES to be held and talked to. She does not like to be left on the ground for too long. She wants “in your face” attention.
Afton is growing bigger every day too. Her speech has exploded and she can tell you everything she needs/wants. She is a good sleeper too. She loves to sing and dance and draw and be grown up like her siblings. She is dressing herself and UNdressing herself! She loves to “read” and be read to. So much like her other siblings.
Niah is doing well too. She is still a little torn as to whether she is a baby or a big girl. We are working through it. She just needs some extra attention on some days and as long as we recognize that and give her that extra one on one, she is the sweetest child you could ever meet. I just love it when she comes up to me, throws her arms around me and says ‘I love you mom. You are the best!’
Milo is all boy. Very busy and very energetic. He has his sisters running all the time. Either he is chasing them or they are chasing him. He is constantly teasing them. Scott says that is what a brother is suppose to do. I suppose, my brother did/does it to me. :0) He is doing very well on his reading and would be doing even better if I was more consistent with him.
Alix is doing well with school. She is very good in math and very good in reading. She loves to be creative and likes to make school as creative as possible. She made a goal to read her scriptures every night until her baptism. She is doing a great job! She has missed a few nights, but overall she is doing great.
Jaime is progressing well in school and piano and dance. She is a busy girl but I think she enjoys that. When she has any free moment she is reading. She is currently on her last book in the Narnia series. She tried reading them a few months ago but couldn’t get into them. She picked them up again and has read all of them in a month. Jaime said today as she was picking flowers in the park ‘Look dad, I am picking nature’s riches.’
We had family pictures today. A wonderful sister from our ward took them, Holly Hamilton. She did a great job getting the kids interested in what she was doing. The kids were promised ice cream if they did just as Sister Hamilton asked them too. They were great and were happily rewarded with ice cream. What a wonderful thing to be a kid. I’m very anxious to see the pictures and I might even post a few if I get a chance.
There is my newsie update for today. I am grateful for my family. For the wonderful spirit in the home. For the service that goes on between my children with such love and thoughtlessness. It’s great to see them interact and see how much they really do love each other and respect each other. I know they will be great friends and share wonderful bonds throughout this life and into the next. I love my children!
