Jaime turned 14 this year. It’s a big year for her because she could now attend church dances. She was a little apprehensive at first, but LOVED her first dance and now can’t get enough of them. She invites her church friends and non church friends and just has a blast. I remember loving youth dances and am glad to see she loves them too.
Unfortunately, because of Trek and heat and sickness (Milo didn’t even participate because he was so ill), Jaime’s birthday was a little anti climatic. But she recognized the craziness of the season. And she did have a party a few weeks before and she knew I was going to make it up to her in the future. So she was a good sport about it.
In young women’s they give each girl a birthday in a can. It has cake mix and things to decorate your cupcakes with. It’s a CUTE idea!
She made herself some cupcakes the day before her actual birthday. She loved that. I was suppose to make her a Burnt Almond Cake for her birthday but there was no way that was happening. So she settled for a pudding cake with the promise of a Burnt Almond Cake in the very near future.
I didn’t even decorate her cake *sigh*
Her presents were pretty simple this year too. She loves gift cards. I suppose the next best thing to gift cards are coupons. So her siblings found and saved coupons of things that Jaime likes from fast food restaurants and gave her the coupon with the money she needed to buy the item. I think she loved it!
My favorite things about Jaime:
-She loves to cook and bake!
-She loves to do hair!
-She loves to help her siblings and really does it with a smile.
-She is good at cleaning.
-She is so FUN to talk to!
-She is amazing at school, dance and piano.
-She is a good babysitter.
-She loves the Lord and works daily to strengthen her testimony
-She is a good missionary and is not afraid to tell her friends about the gospel.

I can’t believe Jaime is such a mature 14 year old. Well really I can, but I also remember the sassy seven year old Jaime! Sigh.
