Alix turns 12

on December 3, 2013

Big year for Alix. She had her 12 birthday and moved from being a “kid” to a young woman.

Since it was her 12th birthday she was up for a party. She is a simple girl and wanted a simple party. So she invited 2 friends and they had lunch at In-in-Out and went to the movies. Then they headed on over to our house to hang out, have cupcakes and ice cream and hang out more. Before dinner I took the two girls home and Alix reported it was an awesome day.

Remember the Burnt Almond Cake I promised Jaime? Well Alix didn’t really want cake for her birthday anyway so she said she didn’t care and neither did Jaime. So here it is! Whew, fulfilled that promise! :o)

Her actual birthday was spent at home doing whatever she wanted. It was the first day of school for her but we always let the kids have their birthday off of school, so she just chilled.

My favorite things about Alix:

-This girl knows how to laugh and does so easily!
-She is generous. So generous in fact she gives it all away and then realizes she has nothing!

Thanks home teachers. The gifts were awesome!

-She loves to help her little siblings do things.
-She loves the Lord and tries her hardest to serve Him each and every day.

Keri used some of her birthday money and got Alix this really cool card making kit. Alix has had a lot of fun making cards for people.

-She is a good and kind friend. Always thinking of them first.
-She is a good cleaner!

The other kids pooled their money together and got Alix a remote controlled car. She LOVED it!

-She is very smart. She can read something and never forget it.

Love you Alix!

Happy 12th ALIX! My favorite thing about is that she most reminds me of her awesome mom! (At least in the pictures.)
